As sales orders are entered but not shipped, and work orders and planned transfers are opened, demand is created against the on-hand inventory reducing the available inventory balance. The Inventory Availability option provides a report of all items that have inventory on-hand less the total commitments against this inventory, if applicable.
The report is available in two formats: with or without the weighted average cost of the item. It may be selected from the Sales Report menu or Shipping Report menu.
